CSU Health and Safety Web Based Training FAQ
What is CSU Health and Safety Web Based Training and does it substitute for the classroom training provided by EH&S ?
CSU Health and Safety Web Based Training is a tool utilized by CSU safety departments and supervisors to provide CSU employees with the necessary safety training. This tool is not intended to substitute classroom training provided by your campus health and safety department or supervisor. However, this may be an extremely useful tool for someone who is not able to attend the scheduled training sessions and is required to complete the training. How do I get into the training ?
You may enter the training by visiting the CSU Health and Safety Training Website, and by clicking on the Enter Training link. You'll be directed to the User Login and Registration web page. At this time you'll need to enter your pre-assigned User ID and Password. To obtain your User ID and Password, please contact your campus Safety Training administrator.
How do I get a User ID ?
User ID is pre-assigned and can be obtained from your supervisor or your campus safety training administrator. You can find your campus safety training administrator by clicking the "Campus Contact" link.
How do I get a Password ?
Passwords are pre-assigned and can be obtained from your supervisor or your campus safety training administrator. You can find your campus safety training administrator by clicking the "Campus Contact" link.
I forgot my password, who do I contact ?
If you forgot your password, you will need to contact your campus safety training administrator. You can find your campus safety training administrator by clicking the "Campus Contact" link.
How do I know if I need to take the training?
Not everyone is require to take all the training course that is offered. To find out which training you need, if any, you will need to consult with your supervisor and/or your campus safety training administrator. Once I receive my user ID and Password, can I change the Password to another one that is familiar to me ?
Once you have obtained a User ID and Password from your supervisor or campus safety training administrator, you have an option to change it to another password that is familiar and easily remembered by you. This can be achieved through clicking the Change Password link.
How do I get credit for taking the course ?
Once you have gone through all of the required modules, you are then ready to take the examination that will test your knowledge of the training subject you had just taken. You will need to complete the examination, titled Self-Check under the Course Self-Check module, with a successful passing score.
Who do I contact if I have a question about the training program ?
If you have any questions regarding the CSU Web Based Training Program, you will need to contact your campus safety training administrator. You can find your campus safety training administrator by clicking the "Campus Contact" link.
What if I can only do a portion of the course at one time ?
Each of the CSU Web Based Training Programs is equipped with a Bookmark feature. This feature will allow you to stop at any point within the training program without losing your place. You will never lose your place if you are logged out properly and log back into the system under the same User ID.
Do I need to take the test at the end of the course? If so, what score is passing ?
If you wish to take credit for the course you have just completed, you MUST take Self-Check under the Course Self-Check module. Passing scores are set by the campus safety training administrator.
